A Happy Ending with the Tragic, Beautiful White Moonlight from a Survival Show Novel

A gentle, sunny, slow-witted blockhead x a lofty beauty who's been plotting this for a long time

When Xie Zhao woke up, she discovered that the world she lived in was actually a talent show novel. The beautiful, strong, tragic white moonlight, envied for her extraordinary talent and ultimately doomed to die young, was none other than her deskmate, Tang Muci.

Gazing at her deskmate's delicate features and cool beauty as she calmly explained a problem, Xie Zhao's eyes widened in shock.

Mumu, I'm in! No, no, I mean, Mumu, I'll protect you! We're going on a variety show. Let's do this!

-

Among the promising contestants carefully selected by a host of entertainment companies, two ordinary girls with nothing but good looks and no connections weren't taken seriously.

But on their first performance stage, the two teamed up for a duet. Xie Zhao's killing part and Tang Muci's original song stunned the audience, and the Chaomu CP became an instant hit too.

On the show:

Tang Muci injures her foot while practicing dance, and Xie Zhao gently crouches down to rub her ankle.

Tang Muci falls ill with a fever, and Xie Zhao holds her in her arms, singing to coax her into taking her medicine.

When someone questions whether Tang Muci really wrote her original song, Xie Zhao immediately produces a recording to prove her innocence. But as soon as it starts playing, the first thing heard is Xie Zhao's voice:

"Mumu, sing it for me one more time. I love Mumu the most!"

The audience: Holy crap, this is the real deal!

-

Tang Muci draws closer and closer, her warm breath falling against Xie Zhao's neck. "Didn't you say you were in?"

Xie Zhao is on the verge of tears. "Mumu, I-I-I was just talking big, quq."

The audience: Zhaozhao, stop talking big. We all know Chaomu is real!

-

Tang Muci has a secret. She has been exceptionally clever since childhood, but was born unable to feel emotions. She thought her life would remain uneventful forever, until she met someone at school: lively, spirited, and gentle, like a warm sun.

Xie Zhao, who quietly walks on the side closest to traffic when they cross the street.

Xie Zhao, who gently pats her back and soothes her to sleep during thunderstorms.

Xie Zhao, who takes care of her and holds her dear in countless ways.

At last, Tang Muci is able to feel an emotion.

That emotion is called love.

One day, her sun joins a talent show.

So Tang Muci, who had never once thought of joining a talent show, joins one too.

Tang Muci's moments:

I like you. Visible only to you.

Xie Zhao's reply:

Haha, even the top student gets mixed up sometimes, Mumu. You forgot to hide this from me!
