Ji Xu'an's true form is a tabby cat.
One day, one of his underlings came to report that a "bad guy" with ill intentions was lurking nearby.
Ji Xu'an investigated and discovered that the human in question was the little benefactor who had saved him when he was young. The soft, adorable child had grown into a tall, handsome young man who smiled with an air of innocence.
Bullying a little cat? Of course not.
Ji Xu'an breathed a sigh of relief, only for it to catch in his throat when he found a lighter, a switchblade, brass knuckles, and more in his little benefactor's pockets. This young man, who confidently claimed to be top of his class, had blank textbooks, never did his homework, and used his schoolbag as a weapon.
He went drinking, got into fights, and tried to start a forbidden romance...
How did such a sweet little angel go so wrong?
Ji Xu'an was at his wits' end. Determined to set the wayward kid straight, he decided to keep him close. But the kid was so pitiful, and so frail that he was always getting sick, so Ji Xu'an had no choice but to keep him under his watchful eye.
He stayed by the kid's side as a cat and befriended him as a human. His little benefactor's grades improved, he became kinder to others, and he even lost his rose-tinted view of his "secret crush." Everything seemed to be getting better.
Ji Xu'an was very pleased.
Then one day, he received a letter.
[He stole his identity. Stay away from him!]
The sender was Ji Xu'an's long-missing teacher.
Ji Xu'an: Liar!
After sorting everything out, Ji Xu'an discovered a secret: Wen Yanjing liked him. He decided to give Wen Yanjing a chance.
As a cat with principles, he chose to be honest.
Ji Xu'an placed Wen Yanjing's hand on top of his head. His two little cat ears swayed back and forth. "Mm-hmm, feels nice, doesn't it?"
He watched the person in front of him blush and nod gently. Then... a tail swayed behind him.
It turned out Wen Yanjing had cat ears too.
What a coincidence. Neither of them was human.
Tabby cat vs. Samoyed
Proud, caring, and prone to overthinking uke vs. cool-headed, warm-hearted seme pretending to be a delinquent
Reader Advisory:
1. One-on-one romance, and each other's first love. Ji Xu'an and Wen Yanjing are both adults and have never liked anyone else.
2. References to cubs and the like above and in the story are through a cat filter. Wen Yanjing's true form is a large dog, and his human form is big too.
3. The seme is older.
4. There are some mystery and deduction elements. The author isn't an expert in logic, so please don't scrutinize them too closely.
