Yin Cen x Mu Ze
Sinister, frivolous, ruthless, scheming seme x sickly beauty, gentle and warm, secretly calculating uke (beautiful, strong, and tragic)
Remember: If you don't kill the other person, it's because your love runs deep. If you do kill them, it's because your love is in your bones.
On one mission, both men were sent to assassinate the current Minister of War.
After a series of twists and turns, Yin Cen gazed down at the corpse, already cold on the ground. He studied it for a long while with lowered eyes, then suddenly gave a dark, sinister laugh. Looking up at the window through which the other man had left, he spoke gently, with hidden currents beneath his words: "The Imperial Proclamation Office, is it? We'll meet again..."
The second time they "happened" to meet, he abducted the man who had planted the medicine and took him to bed. Gripping his flushed face, he said with a self-satisfied smile, "I'm just helping you."
In the end, the capital was struck by the heaviest snowfall since the founding of the dynasty. The man died in his arms, overcome with pain, his breath gradually fading. He never lived to see the snow melt from the plum branches, the land at peace and the people prosperous, as Yin Cen had dreamed.
Much later, a swordsman carrying a blade and a sleeping man on his back traveled across rivers, mountains, and seas. In a teahouse, an old storyteller with white hair recounted their tale again and again, until the listeners asked, "So did he ever wake up in the end? Did he ever forgive this world?"
If a fire consumed the whole world, what would remain?
