Song of Dawn and Dusk (Building a Post Station, Planting Flowers and Trees, and Making Light in Another World)

Xiyi is descended from the legendary Lailerd people, a line of warriors.

Ever since she could remember, she'd been trained as a warrior: sharpening blades, practicing with spears, studying war maps... even though the Starveil Lands had been at peace for many, many years.

Neither her teachers, her parents, nor her older sister knew, and Xiyi herself didn't know either, that what she truly liked were little, ordinary, insignificant things: planting flowers and grass, laying bricks to pave roads, and escorting travelers.

Following her older sister, who had become a warrior, Xiyi left her hometown and, by a twist of fate, came to a waystation.

There she began caring for travelers, maintaining buildings, watering barrier trees, and even building new waystations.

The glimmer of ordinary people, little corners of peace amid troubled times, and an ode to those who do their duty and are content with their lot.

The long night lies shattered, and the people at the waystation mend it piece by piece.

Years later, Xiyi, known as the "Blesser of the Night" and the "Creator of Nightglow," is regarded as a local lord and a sage.

She's glad she made the choice she truly loved and stuck with it:

becoming a "roadblocker" who works at a waystation.
