[Haikyuu!!] Who Taught You Volleyball?

Aramaki Kento was an ordinary high school student in his previous life, killed in a car accident while saving an unfamiliar child. Reborn as the "fake son" of a middle-aged Osaka delinquent, he now lives in an illegally expanded machiya townhouse, where he's trained with takoyaki by Misaki, his big sister and queen of the late-night izakaya; shares a doghouse-converted room with Kenta, his baseball-AI little brother; and endures a daily life in which their pet dog, Kintaro, is more reliable than the whole family.

Despite having a blocking talent that "gets stronger against stronger opponents," his receiving is as bad as the batter for okonomiyaki. He's stuck idling as a ghost member of a private school's volleyball club.

When Akane Hayakawa, a fiery transfer student and team manager, drags him back onto the court, and the fox banners of Inarizaki appear on the distant horizon, this ultimate loser, convinced that "the outcome of life is decided at the net," must search for the true meaning of living two lives amid the absurd symphony of his delinquent uncle's drunken lectures, his sister's chili-powder economics, and his little brother's silent pitches. Who says you have to become an overpowered hero after being reborn?

Classic Scene 1:

Female Classmate A: "Aramaki-kun looks kind of handsome when he doesn't talk..."

Aramaki: "Ahaha, I almost became a voice actor when I was little! Just kidding, my voice acting is about as good as a dog chewing on a microphone."

Female Classmate B: "Please, just be quiet."

Classic Scene 2:

Senior Kitamae: "Be late again, and you'll frog-jump laps around the field."

Aramaki: "Actually, frog jumps are great for your vertical... I'll go right now!" (Runs away at lightning speed)

Miya Atsumu: "You were blocking like a pro today."

Aramaki: "I lost at video games last night and needed to blow off steam~"

Classic Scene 3:

When it is Aramaki's turn to serve in the tryouts, his standing float serve hits a second-floor window. (Ojiro: "That's the principal's office... Did you do that on purpose?")

During the receiving test, he takes Miya Atsumu's powerful spike to the face. (His nose gushes blood, but he insists, "It's a new shock-absorbing technique!")

Ojiro cracks, "S-rank blocking, Z-rank receiving. Is this guy volleyball's Frankenstein?"

Classic Scene 4:

After his twentieth failed receive, Aramaki lies motionless. "The floor is where I belong..."

Ojiro crouches down and hands him water. "Know why Senior Kitamae doesn't yell at you? When you're useless enough, people start feeling maternal."

Captain Kitamae passes by and adds, "Kento, starting next week, you'll mop the gym floor three extra times a day."

(Aramaki: "What does that have to do with receiving?!" Kitamae: "Nothing, but it'll make you more efficient at wiping away tears.")

Incident: In a practice match against Sangguan High, Sho goes into "energy-saving mode" because his opponents are too weak.

Miya Atsumu: (frantically signaling with his eyes before setting) "Block that mushroom head!"

Aramaki: (dead-eyed) "His spikes aren't even as loud as Uncle Teppei's snoring..."

Result:

The opposing ace fools Sho with a tip. Sho drops to his knees and mutters, "The territory at the net? Doesn't exist..."

Miya Atsumu goes berserk. "The Phantom Wall turned into shoddy tofu! Do something! Hit him awake with a rice ball!"

Miya Osamu pulls out a plum rice ball and tosses it right into Sho's mouth. "Eat up. Carbs can revive a loser's spirit."

Ojiro sums up, "We should install a strong-opponent detector on this kid. He should shut down during matches against weak teams."

Inarizaki survival rules:

Can't receive the ball? Use your face!

Serve out? Accept your fate!

Miya Atsumu starts mocking you? Play dead!

Aramaki: "Why does every one of my big moments come with public humiliation?!"

Ojiro: "It's an Inarizaki tradition. Accept your fate."
