Five years after their breakup, Ji Chun still cannot forget Liang Fang, her first love from her student days.
She thought time would build a wall and lock him away in her memories, but life went on like a cup of lukewarm water.
That day, a sudden downpour came. His profile appeared in the glass doors of the Civil Affairs Bureau, and all the memories came rushing back.
At that moment, dressed in a suit, he was kneeling to tie his new wife's pearl shoe strap.
The click of the official seal pierced her ears. She stamped the mark that approved their love with her own hands, and with those same hands, ended her youth.
The umbrella he once held out to her never became a roof over her head.
