The little octopus Xing Ran accidentally fell into another world.
The country there assigned him a job: raising humans.
It was hard work.
He had to eat a whole mountain of snacks, because humans would get fat if they snuck food.
He had a room full of stuffed animals, because humans got lonely without friends.
He also had to turn into a baby octopus and play with his human often. People said humans got depressed if they didn't have a caretaker to keep them company.
After gaining three times his weight, relying on his human to carry him in video games, and basking in the sun in his golden nest, Zhang Xingran sighed.
Humans were so delicate. Humans were so hard to raise.

Ning Youting, leader of the Operations Team at the Special Abilities Bureau, was a cat-type mutant.
Moody, full of energy, and possessive, he oppressed the entire team single-handedly.
The team members had a miserable time.
Who could have guessed that one day the devil would change his ways?
He became emotionally stable, stopped showing up late and leaving early, and started carrying around a cloyingly sweet candy scent.
This was terrifying. The devil had to be possessed by something paranormal!
The team members carefully prepared a plan to save their leader, and were about to make their move.
A pink, bouncy jelly blob fell from the devil's pocket, hit the ground, and bounced away for a whole mile.
As they stared in stunned silence, Ning Youting rushed over, scooped up the little thing, and cradled it in his palm before quickly tucking it back into his pocket.
He turned around, giving them the death glare of a big cat. His warning was clear: Mine. No peeking.

After a happy spell of lying flat and doing nothing, a high-level paranormal entity descended.
Ning Youting had a weighty responsibility to bear, and his life was uncertain.
Before leaving on his mission, he cradled the little octopus in his palm and gave it a kiss.
"Darling, be good and wait for me at home."
Zhang Xingran wrapped himself around his finger and, as clingy as ever, said yes. Behind his back, he secretly rolled into the man's pocket to sleep.
The mission was difficult. The Operations Team was stretched thin and surrounded by paranormal entities.
As they were about to be devoured, despair filled their hearts.
Who knew that a blob of pink jelly would suddenly drop out?
The soft, adorable little octopus who loved to cling and cry whenever someone poked him stretched out a tiny tentacle.
A few quick whacks sent the hideous paranormal entity flying.
"The human I raise isn't someone you get to bully!"
"Who gave you the nerve to disturb my sleep?"
"You've got a death wish!"
The vicious paranormal entities were struck as if by lightning, then huddled together, wronged and miserable.
"Your Majesty, please don't hit us! We're sorry, we're sorry!"
"Waaah, my head's going to get a hole in it!"
Ning Youting: ?
Our bureau's mascot, who's good at everything from acting cute to being clingy and loudly declaring that lying flat is happiness, and you're telling me he's the king of paranormal entities?
