Shimizu Ryo had just come out of the Danganronpa storyline when a space-time storm swept him into an infinite-world setting.
Here, only the strong could survive. He discovered that the world's rationalization had turned his talent into a supernatural ability. And along with him came the golden finger System that his original world had installed for him.
Good news: He had a golden finger. Bad news: This golden finger was a bit of a fake.
The System was so laggy it was practically an artificial idiot.
The one good thing was that his System let him draw cards, with the cards featuring his classmates from Danganronpa. Identity cards let him create an alter ego and take on its role. The higher his performance score, the more complete the corresponding talent became, and the more powerful the resulting ability.
At first, Shimizu Ryo was full of enthusiasm as he drew his first card.
A blue-haired girl smiled shyly on the card.
...Wait, wait, wait, this can't be right!!! Why is my identity card a girl, and my secret identity a girl too!!!
Later, Shimizu Ryo became addicted to drawing cards. After failing to get the card on his Nth pull, he finally snapped.
It was bad enough that people in Danganronpa were always picking fights with him. Why couldn't he ever get the card he wanted!!!
In the banner he'd been grinding himself to death for, the black-haired, purple-eyed boy on the card wore a provocative smile.
Later, a mysterious organization called the "Ultimate Academy Committee" appeared in the manga.
The blue-haired "artist" always carried a sketchbook. Everything they drew became real.
The golden-haired "prosecutor" followed his own sense of justice, clearing away the gloom for the people at the bottom.
The ice-blue-eyed "agent" searched for the truth of the paradise in the dead of night, as nimble as a black cat.
The black-haired, purple-eyed "detective" moved through the upper echelons, breaking the beautiful utopia in the name of a master manipulator.
They were suns with principles of their own, guarding humanity's last refuge.
Kind people, pray earnestly. They will answer you.
If you are lucky enough to meet a gray-haired, gray-eyed boy, please smile at him.
That is the "journalist" Mr. Shimizu, president of the Ultimate Academy Committee.
Shimizu, the one carrying the weight of daily life behind all this: Thanks for asking. I'm about to grind myself insane.
The cover shows Shimizu, who even changed his look and tied his hair into a little braid in hopes of drawing a certain someone. (I can't make up any more excuses. It's actually one of my kinks, so I just made a little boy with braided hair.)
