My new book, Back to My Dad's College Days, is out. Come check it out~
[Seemingly refined but actually ruthless doctor gong x seemingly carefree but actually responsible Grim Reaper shou]
Qu Chuan, a Grim Reaper who collects souls, has recently encountered something strange:
There's a doctor named Chen Zhou who has no soul.
Qu Chuan: It's a haunting!
Ghosts: Don't be ridiculous. We ghosts have souls.
Qu Chuan: It's a god haunting!
Gods: ? Don't drag us into this. Gods have souls too.
Qu Chuan: ...Then, it's a human haunting?
Chen Zhou adjusted his glasses and smiled gently. "Lord Grim Reaper, I'm just an ordinary doctor."
He wasn't exactly ordinary, though. At the very least, he had a knack for attracting trouble.
A paper car burned as an offering to the underworld ran into someone in the human world. A girl who had died by jumping from a school building returned to her class to kill people. Patients who had recovered in a hospital suddenly all died. Something else had infiltrated a group of quarry workers...
Qu Chuan: How did I never know there were so many problems in the Three Realms? The human world is a complete mess!
A ghost took a sip of the soup: Tastes a little strange. Oh, it's rice water.
A god took a sip of the soup: Is this the borscht the angels in the Western District love? Hard to drink.
Qu Chuan: Is this really what we're talking about?
Gods and ghosts may be heartless, but Qu Chuan is a good Grim Reaper.
Guided by the Grim Reaper's motto, "Serve the people," Qu Chuan stepped in front of Chen Zhou. "Don't be afraid, Dr. Chen. I'll protect you."
Chen Zhou said softly, "All right. Thank you, Lord Qu."
His eyes were hidden behind his glasses, lost in the darkness.
Qu Chuan gradually realized that someone was using these strange events to piece together a long-buried secret.
The wind on the rooftop was fierce. Chen Zhou stood facing it, letting the gale whip at his robes.
A messenger from the Celestial Court floated in midair, looking down at him. "Chen Zhou, your proper path is to come with me to the Celestial Court and accept your punishment. If you insist on staying, then Qu Chuan will have to take the blame for you. As a Grim Reaper, he has covered for a human and committed such..."
Chen Zhou took off his glasses and set them neatly aside.
The next second, a sword pierced the messenger's chest, cutting off every word.
The messenger crashed down heavily at Chen Zhou's feet.
Chen Zhou stepped forward, kicked him onto his back, pulled out the sword, and plunged it in again, hard.
Blood splattered across half of Chen Zhou's face. His gentle, alluring peach-blossom eyes now held only ferocity and coldness.
The messenger stopped breathing.
Only then did Chen Zhou stand, look up at the pitch-black night sky, and snap his fingers.
Layer upon layer of dark clouds parted in an instant, and the moonlight fell softly upon Chen Zhou's bloodstained face.
He smiled.
The secret was actually quite simple. After scheming for a thousand years, all he wanted was for Qu Chuan to come back.
Reading guide:
1. Romance and plot develop together. 1v1.
2. The Three Realms: Grim Reapers are gods, ghost kings are ghosts, and humans are humans. The setting mainly draws on Chinese mythology, with some inspiration from Western mythology.
3. Qu Chuan is the shou, Chen Zhou is the gong. Happy ending.
Here's a preview of another upcoming book~
Originally titled Back to My Dad's College Days. As I wrote, I realized this title was better. Everything else is basically unchanged. Expected to launch around July.
(The main story is in third person. The "I" in the blurb is a supporting character, the gong and shou's son. In this world, men can give birth.)
Initially stiff, later flashy and scheming superstar Alpha gong x seemingly gentle but actually fiery and wild beauty Omega shou
I was born into a musical family.
My mom is an internationally renowned concert pianist.
In Vienna's grand, prestigious Golden Hall, Mom is noble and elegant, the hall's golden light shining behind him, his whole bearing untouchable.
After the performance, the audience gave him a long, restrained round of applause.
"Bravo!! Amazing!! Bravo!!"
That idiot yelling from the audience is my dad.
My dad is a singer. According to them, he's even some kind of king of Chinese pop music.
Whenever Dad holds a concert, the whole place goes wild, both onstage and off.
Mom sits among all those colorful eccentrics in a suit, staring at the person onstage with so much love it practically spills out.
I never understood how a cool, gorgeous beauty like Mom fell for that old geezer, Dad.
Mom: Actually, I was straight in college. Your dad turned me gay.
Dad: That's not right, honey. I remember I was straight in college too. You must have turned me gay.
Me: I'd sooner believe I'm Qin Shi Huang than believe you two were straight.
…
An accident took my dad's life.
And I transmigrated so neatly, to the time when my parents were in college.
I sobbed my eyes out and sang "My Dear Old Dad" to my dad, who was only 20.
I scared the heck out of both of them.
I was pretty freaked out too, because things weren't quite right after I transmigrated.
The heartthrob and handsomest guy at D City Music College, who skipped class to play online games and was called "Brother Shu" by everyone, was my mom?
The one who studied and wrote seriously, exercised every morning without fail, and always wore a cold, handsome expression was my dad?
Wait, shouldn't that be the other way around?
At least Dad was still the same idiot.
They had opposite beds in the same dorm room, and Dad could go a whole day without saying a word to Mom.
But when Mom came back dead drunk, Dad would silently help him take off his clothes, wipe his face, tuck him in, and wash the jacket he'd thrown up on.
Me: Dad, what happened to being straight?
The next morning, Mom woke up and praised me for being a fairy who did housework.
When Mom went to practice singing with someone else, Dad was insanely jealous inside, but all he could do was stand to one side holding the sheet music and silently clench his fists.
I just put Dad's hand in Mom's. "Mom... no, Brother Yun Shu, Brother Su Quli wants to practice singing with you."
Dad panicked and was about to explain, but then his hand was clasped tightly.
Mom tilted his head. The breeze lifted his long hair as he smiled. "Come on, A Li."
A Li! He called him A Li! That's Mom's special nickname for Dad!
Just as I was grinning, the full moon's light fell on Dad.
Dad suddenly went crazy, wrapping an arm around Mom's waist and leaning in to kiss him.
Normally, Mom could have sent Dad flying with one punch, but he didn't.
After accepting the kiss, Mom raised his eyes. His glistening gaze stayed fixed on Dad.
Me: Mom, what happened to being straight?!!!
Dad went wild because every month, when the moon shone on the fifteenth, the version of my dad who had died in the future would transmigrate to this era.
After spending so much time together, Mom was a sensitive person and naturally noticed something was off.
He held a cigarette between his lips and asked me, "Xiao Shu, don't you think A Li's acting strange?"
I didn't even dare breathe. "What do you mean?"
"Most of the time he's cold. But every now and then, he gets really passionate... Damn, could he have gone crazy from studying too much?"
You're overthinking it, Mom. He just got flirtier with age.
Mom touched his lips and asked strangely, "Isn't he straight?"
I was confused too: Mom, didn't you claim to be straight as well?
And Mom, who could have guessed that someone as refined as you used to wear slippers and crouch outside an art palace smoking with me just over ten years ago!
…
When the older Dad transmigrates into his younger self's time, where does the younger Dad go?
Bai Yunshu lost his husband, and his son fell into a coma.
He stopped playing the piano and drifted through each day in a daze.
Until the fifteenth of the month, when he saw that familiar yet unfamiliar young face.
The young Su Quli was utterly powerless against the fully mature Bai Yunshu.
Son: Su Shu. Dad: Su Quli. Mom: Bai Yunshu
Tips:
1. Third person, dual perspective, with some of the son's perspective mixed in early on.
2. 1v1, both sexually inexperienced. Some realistic elements, a fairy tale for adults.
3. Mutual secret crushes at first, followed by plenty of push and pull, then reconciliation.
Theme: Life is made perfect by its regrets
Then... The two of them took out a handful from their arms? 😂 😂
It's so fun, hahahaha. I thought it was a cannon or something like that at first, but then I pulled out all the nuclear weapons. In fact, what is the difference between gods and humans? They are both greedy and self-interested in nature (not ownership)
Ouch, this is really sublime! I like this kind of story full of gods and ghosts, and finally the kind of human beings who break the shackles of theology (?). This book gave me a close-to-scientific (???) Experience. In the beginning, there are gods, ghosts, and past and present lives (ps. I think the section in the mine is really powerful, like a mythological and monster novel), and in the back, it has a very modern sense of science and technology (?). Anyway, times have changed, adults! Qu Death gives me the feeling of a "human god". Translated into human words, he is kind, enthusiastic and iron-clad. I feel that the God of Death has always been yearning and friendly (?) Towards human beings. Xiao Chen was successfully enlightened by his master. At least they both admired and loved human beings later on.
Sure enough, imagination is still lacking. When the words "atomic bomb" came out, I was stunned for several seconds and finally smiled with relief [Caigou]
Next sentence, now is the era of thermal weapons 🐶
Wait a moment, wait a moment, my mind can't move anymore, the times of adults have really changed 😂
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh when I saw the last sentence, I imagined these two people driving a group of tanks and carrying heavy machine guns into the sky.
Great, I want to see Chen Qu xql team up to fight the Emperor of Heaven [Panda Head][Panda Head]
Thank you for your hard work, boss! Have a good rest [touching head] My previous idea about transparent internal power was wrong qwq It turns out it is the internal power of our teacher Qu Chuan Chen Zhou, a man, has embarked on the road of no return to escalate his revenge against Quchuan... (X)
", Chen Zhou's hand dropped, "catching a bug for the author~ This should be Quchuan
