An apology doesn't help. The refrigerator gives him a face cold enough to freeze him to death, leaving Jiang Yan smiling on the outside and screaming on the inside. Jiang Yan: What's with this guy's attitude? He thinks it's just a brief encounter, but after school starts, the guy is everywhere. Zhou Heng: "The bell's been ringing for ages and you're still asleep. You sure can sleep." Jiang Yan: Wangzai-style eye roll JPG. As they spend day after day together, feelings begin to grow. Jiang Yan finally works up the courage to confess, but a sudden accident tears them apart, cutting off the words he never got to say. At a reunion years later, a tipsy Jiang Yan carries a bottle of water and wobbles out of the private room, accidentally bumping into someone. He hurries to apologize, then looks up and sees a face buried in his memories. When each group introduces itself onstage, two members have to lift both feet off the ground. Jiang Yan and Zhou Heng look at each other. Jiang Yan: "I... I can do it?" Zhou Heng: "Are you sure?" Jiang Yan: "Don't underestimate me. I used to..." Zhou Heng listens to him chatter on, then calmly steps forward and lifts him up in his arms. Jiang Yan: ??? What the heck, that's cheating... Hope you enjoy reading! Reader's guide: 1. It starts at school, then part of the story takes place in the city. 2. Overall, this is a quiet, slice-of-life story told at an unhurried pace. It's full of little details, with few major twists. If that's not your thing, please don't read. 3. The couple are exclusive, and both are pure in body and heart. Neither had a good family background. The shou is a little slow on the uptake, so the romance develops slowly. 4. There is one secondary couple. They don't get much page time in the main story, but will have a bonus story. Please keep that in mind before reading. 5. The story may be revised from time to time during serialization. Please overlook anything that doesn't match reality. Some aspects are fictionalized; everything serves the plot. 6. No face-swapping, no breaking up or reversing ships, and no pitting characters against each other. My writing is very average, really!
