Shen Jingyu learns that she's the villainess in a Mary Sue novel set at an aristocratic academy, while her childhood friend Pei Jue is the love-struck, rejected male supporting character.
Shen Jingyu frowns.
Then she sees that the two of them will lose their families and die miserably, and she cracks up.
She thinks, That's so us.
Shen Jingyu doesn't mind at all. In fact, she's having a great time. If she can still get a happy ending while acting like a spoiled rich kid every day, then this world is frighteningly unfair.
Her top priority now is taking this thing and using it to annoy her childhood friend.
Pei Jue points to the four male leads in the book and asks if she knows them.
Shen Jingyu says they're all familiar faces.
“An ex, someone I'm planning to pursue, a potential future boyfriend, and you.”
Pei Jue: “...Then how is this villainess role not a perfect fit for you?”
-
Shen Jingyu and Pei Jue grew up together, but pretend not to know each other at the academy.
You play the aloof, arrogant, willful young master. I'll play the haughty, cold, spoiled young lady.
Pei Jue asks, “Is our relationship something you need to hide?”
Shen Jingyu says, “No. If we hang out together, our true colors come out and our public personas fall apart. That would really get in the way of my love life.”
Pei Jue: “What true colors?”
Shen Jingyu: “Bossy, unreasonable, wasteful, arrogant, abandoning friends for good looks, living off others, trashy rich kid of who-knows-what generation.”
*Basically, a story about pure love amid a tangled web of relationships, so the childhood friend ends up as the one and only.
*If the outrageous plot shocks you, please don't yell at me.
*Set against a vaguely Korean-style school backdrop.
*In short, the heroine has very little decency or morality. This is a wildly unrealistic, let-loose Mary Sue harem story about a girl everyone loves, love & place.
Theme: Love and peace
