The Heiress Refuses to Rekindle Their Romance

You are an unreasonable, domineering heiress with more money than you know what to do with. You love handsome men, and frail, sickly ones have a charm all their own. So you spend a fortune to take in a man who fits your tastes as your kept lover. He uses the silver you give him to save his dying mother.

You think it works out perfectly: each of you gets what you want.

Then one day, you suddenly realize he seems to have developed genuine feelings for you. Luckily, you have already grown tired of him, so you send him packing without hesitation.

Years later, the once-poor young man has made his fortune and risen from obscurity to prominence. Facing you, now fallen on hard times, he says he is still in love with you and wants to rekindle your relationship.

Will you agree or turn him down?

Theme: Self-reliance is life's greatest source of confidence.
