Yu Nianqiu is famous in high society for two things: he's both affectionate and heartless. He's arrogant and flirtatious, with countless lovers, but he favors platonic relationships. Contradiction is his specialty!

One day, a person claiming to be a System suddenly appears and tells him, "You're actually the protagonist of this world. Several people will show up around you and try to win you over. Would you believe me?"

Yu Nianqiu thought it was an accident, until half a month later, when his first suitor appeared. That man had eyes similar to his beloved's.

Then came the second, then the third. Over the course of three years, seven such men appeared in his life. Without exception, each had some feature resembling his beloved. They were all outstanding in looks and talent.

They kept finding all kinds of excuses to be around him, pursuing him in ways that were often laughable. For example, but not limited to:

Suitor Number One was a spoiled, naive young master. After interacting with Yu Nianqiu for only three months, he went abroad to study, hoping to pull the "long-lost love returns" routine on him. Three years later, in front of the other suitors, he stood on the balcony of Yu Nianqiu's villa and used those eyes, so much like his beloved's, to demand: "Do you love me or not?"

Suitor Number Two was the top-tier star at his company, arrogant and foolish. Three years ago, he publicly confessed his love online, thinking he was being devoted, never realizing what a mess he was causing. Yu Nianqiu was caught up in a scandal and accused of sleeping with his own artist. During that time, he had to disguise himself completely whenever he went out, afraid that one day he'd end up in the hospital alongside his beloved.

Suitor Number Three was a domineering CEO from a partner company. Arrogant and overbearing, he tried to force Yu Nianqiu to give in by dangling a business partnership between their families. When bullying didn't work, he switched to sweet-talking.

Suitor Number Four was his father's trusted secretary, a two-faced man who wanted to have an office romance with him. He followed Yu Nianqiu around so closely, he might as well have been with him 28 hours a day.

Suitor Number Five was a prodigal painter who had turned over a new leaf. He was known as a melancholy heartthrob, but in truth he was psychologically twisted. His gaze was always burning with desire, as if he wanted to eat Yu Nianqiu alive, in the figurative sense.

Suitor Number Six was his beloved's attending physician. He seemed refined and considerate, but was actually devious and cunning, and the hardest to deal with. They turned Yu Nianqiu's life upside down and drove him to distraction.

Yu Nianqiu watched them say they loved him while looking at him as if he were a toy or a lifeless object, and said nothing, merely smiling.

He knew they had ulterior motives for getting close to him. As long as he wasn't blind, there was no way he could fall for them.

Yu Nianqiu was so fed up. The first thing he did every morning was wonder what he could do that day to get rid of his suitors.

Now the System told him that he was the protagonist of the world, and those men were trying to win him over to steal the world's fortune. His beloved's accident had been their doing, too.

Yu Nianqiu suddenly understood. "So what?"

System: "Deal with them the same way."

Yu Nianqiu: "Oh~"

Whether hunter or prey, he would never lose, no matter how their roles changed.

At some point, Yu Nianqiu began to find the System beside him more and more familiar.

The first time, he got drunk, and the System turned into a person, picked up a six-foot-tall man like him, and carried him home.

The second time, he made a birthday wish for his beloved, hoping to see him. Then he couldn't sleep that night, and some System seemed to kiss him.

The third time, one of the suitors tried to assault him. The System suddenly appeared, knocked the man unconscious, and took the matter into its own hands.

Reader's Guide:

1. The top is the System. His real body is in a vegetative state early on and recovers later. While that happens, he stays by the bottom's side as the System. He hides his identity for a reason, but the bottom figures it out himself. Both top and bottom are natives of this world.

2. The bottom only plays along with other people. He loves only the top, and loves him most. In front of outsiders, he's a scummy top, for a reason.

3. Both are pure in body and mind, and utterly devoted to each other. Their feelings are mutual and emphatic. No switching or alternate pairings. Don't read if that's not your thing.
