In a summer downpour, Yu Cheng set foot on her university campus for the first time.

Dragging her heavy suitcase with difficulty, she could barely make her way forward. Then a long, elegant hand suddenly reached out to steady the handle.

The person she had not seen in so long appeared before her eyes without warning.

Wait, how did he know?!

With no other choice, Lin Jiamo calls You Xu.

The voice on the other end is cool and aloof. "It's so late. Why aren't you home? Where are you sneaking around?"

She steels herself and says, "I like you. Will you be my boyfriend...?"

She expects You Xu to mock her without mercy.

Instead, after a few seconds of silence, a solemn answer comes from the other end.

"I accept."

You Xu's first eighteen years go smoothly, but he falls hard for his childhood friend.

He tries to reveal his true feelings as a joke, but she thinks he's provoking her and gets so angry she leaves him speechless.

But oddly enough, though she keeps saying she likes him, she repeatedly avoids being physically close to him.

You Xu assumes she's just shy and patiently coaxes her.
