The Puppy with an Expiration Date

Chi Yue fell for a woman.

For months, he rather enjoyed their game of cat and mouse, where she ran and he chased her, and she couldn't get away.

Until one day, he saw a little kid in the lounge call her Mom.

The worst part wasn't that the woman he liked already had a son. It was that she told him she wasn't rejecting him because she had a child, but because he wasn't her type.

The greatest pleasure comes from getting what you want after being made to suffer for it.

The younger man who had always clung to Jiang Jianchuan suddenly turned cold, and she found she was really into it.

Even though his attitude toward her had changed, he still took meticulous care of her little one.

When the child had a fever and wouldn't stop crying, he stayed with him at the hospital all night.

Jiang Jianchuan brought breakfast. At the entrance to the infusion hall, she saw him carefully wiping her son's sweat and feeling his hands.

That was when she officially fell for him.

She walked over and said, "I suddenly really want to kiss you."

The young man had spent the night awake and was already in a bad mood. They were in a busy hospital, and her son was still hooked up to an IV. He couldn't help rolling his eyes. "Get lost."

But the woman seemed even more excited.

The best thing about having a puppy is coming home after taking care of his big sister at night, then quietly getting up the next morning while she's still sleeping in to make breakfast. He dresses the little one, washes his face, gives him water, and even finds time to carry him while tossing clothes into the washing machine.

And he does all of it before putting his shirt back on.

Jiang Jianchuan stood by the dining table, eating breakfast and admiring the young man doing housework. "From now on, you can't wear clothes at home. That's an order."
