My Fiancée Is Actually a Snake Spirit

Nancy was a useless blind girl.

Abandoned by her family at birth, she was banished deep into the forest, where she spent decades all alone.

When loneliness nearly drove her mad, someone knocked on the door of her little wooden cabin and said politely:

“Dear Princess, I’m the princess of the neighboring kingdom, and your betrothed since childhood.”

Nancy had no idea what a betrothed was.

But she didn’t drive her away, either.

She was too lonely, so she silently accepted her arrival.

Her “fiancee” was passionate, outgoing, and affectionate. Every morning, she would wander through the forest to pick the freshest flowers, letting Nancy smell their dewy fragrance.

She would chase off the little dwarves who tried to take advantage of her, then take Nancy by the hand and lead her out of the cabin to explore the dangerous world she had never dared to set foot in.

At night, she would gently peck Nancy’s cheek, rub her tongue all over her face, and cling to her with all four limbs as they slept.

Nancy’s life gradually gained color, but as their feelings deepened, she began to notice how strange her “fiancee” was.

“Darling, why are your eyes so big?”

Her “fiancee” answered in her same gentle, lovely voice: “So I can see you better, my dear princess.”

“Why does your skin feel so cool and smooth?”

“Because you get hot easily, my dear princess.”

“Why don’t you make any sound when you walk?”

“So I can sneak up behind you and surprise you, my dear princess.”

Nancy pried her lips apart and slipped her tongue inside.

“Why are your teeth so sharp?”

Her “fiancee” smiled, revealing a neat row of teeth. “So I can eat you, my dear princess.”

Nancy fell silent.

Oh no. Her “fiancee” didn’t seem to be human.
