The Beggars' Sect is caught in an internal conflict.
Qiao Feng, the current leader of the Beggars' Sect, is accused of being a Khitan. In an instant, everyone turns against him.
Yet the person everyone least expects to help him steps forward.
Liu Xiao, the current deputy leader of the Beggars' Sect, is an orphan whose parents were disciples of the sect. She is the adopted child of the former leader, Wang Jiantong, and was Qiao Feng's greatest rival when he became leader. After a defeat eight years ago, she went far beyond the frontier and never returned to the Central Plains.
Some say she became the disciple of Little Li's Flying Dagger just to come back one day and settle the score with Qiao Feng.
"I don't know whether Qiao Feng is Khitan. But I don't believe Elder Ma was killed by him, and I don't think he's done anything to harm our sect. If you're stepping down, how about taking me with you?"
Qiao Feng lowered his eyes and saw the teasing glint in hers. His fist clenched, then relaxed.
She was his greatest rival when he became leader eight years ago, and his most capable 'subordinate' ever since.
He had a thought that was hardly honorable. Ever since he met this person, it had kept circling through his mind.
He said in a low voice, "All right."
1. Mainly based on Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, with elements from The Sentimental Swordsman, Ruthless Sword. Pairing: Qiao Feng X original transmigrated female lead Liu Xiao. The canon pairing is changed, but A Zhu and A Zi will get a happy ending. Please read with care if this bothers you.
2. The dynasty is partly fictionalized, since Jin Yong's historical setting doesn't quite fit. Since Liu Xiao is deputy leader, Ma Dayuan from the original story is automatically demoted to Elder Ma.
3. Happy ending. A story of an unlikely crush between a great hero and a bold, forthright heroine, with a side of watching and commenting on Little Li's Flying Dagger's love life.
Theme: Give Leader Qiao (Xiao) a hard-earned happy ending.
