[Three Kingdoms] Even a Foodie Has to Be a Strategist

(Launching in 2027)

In the first year of Xingping, Cao Cao brought home a young boy and often took him along wherever he went.

The boy had an enormous appetite and could eat just about anything. At first, the soldiers thought Cao Cao kept him by his side because he had a poor appetite and watching the boy eat made food seem more appetizing.

Then one day, the enemy launched a surprise attack. The boy used a clever plan to drive them back, and only then did the soldiers understand.

Their lord had seen it coming and recruited an excellent strategist in advance.

.

Lü Kuang transmigrated into the body of a thirteen-year-old boy. Because he showed “precocious intelligence” far beyond his years, Cao Cao took a liking to him and brought him along to train.

Cao Cao was certain he would grow into an outstanding advisor.

Burdened with such high expectations, Lü Kuang looked away in guilty embarrassment.

Precocious? That was because his soul belonged to an adult, not a child. Calm and composed? His reaction time was just so slow that he was still half-asleep. Far-sighted and strategic? He was from the modern era and knew history, so he could spot danger ahead of time.

Cao Cao wanted to train him into an outstanding military advisor, but what could a college student who only knew how to apply screen protectors on an overpass, and whose major was funeral services, even do in a war? Arrange his own funeral?

.

His complaints were one thing, but reality was harsh. To survive, Lü Kuang had no choice but to stay by Cao Cao’s side, study hard, and work toward becoming a strategist-in-training.

As the youngest strategist in Cao Cao’s camp, he seized every opportunity and asked all the senior advisors to teach him.

Before long, the list of guest lecturers grew longer and longer: Guo Jia, Xun Yu, Xi Zhicai, Xun You, Cheng Yu, Mao Jie…

And, in the end, this intensive, cram-style education really did turn him into a proper strategist.

In modern society, even a couch potato has to go to work. At the end of the Eastern Han dynasty, even a foodie had to become a strategist.

He’d already come up with the headlines for future online articles: “Him, the Gourmet of the Three Kingdoms, Cao Wei’s Strategist, and the Ultimate Foodie”; “Unprecedented: The Man Who Studied Under Every Strategist in Cao Wei”; “Who Is the Man Cao Cao Always Takes Along to Meals, and Just How Many Connections Does He Have?”
