Xia Wei is a very ordinary D-rank esper.
But he is strong-willed and a capable fighter. After graduating, he gets his wish and joins the renowned Special Operations Group A.
However, not long after starting the job, he receives an assignment to protect the chairman.
The chairman, Xie Yu, is a promising young man with a handsome face.
But this man... is more than a little strange.
Xia Wei really wants to say, “If there’s something you don’t like about me, can’t I just change it?”
*
Xia Wei has no idea how he and Xie Yu ended up in bed together.
As they whisper and nuzzle, the man’s voice keeps echoing in his mind.
“I know what you’re thinking. Don’t hide from me.”
Xia Wei is grinding his teeth in frustration.
Who wants someone reading their mind at a time like this?!
Yet the more he resists, the more that damned man pushes his luck.
In a fit of anger, he opens his spatial field and takes out a knife.
But even with the blade pressed against his Adam’s apple, Xie Yu still wears a radiant smile.
“I can read your heart. You wouldn’t have the nerve.”
Xie Yu continues speaking to Xia Wei telepathically,
though now there’s a note of brazen confidence in his voice.

The case is bizarre. After a crisis, Xie Yu is treated as a suspect, even though he is clearly a victim.
Drawn into the case, Xia Wei has no choice but to form a deep bond with him.
Xia Wei discovers that Xie Yu’s mind-reading ability and his own seemingly useless spatial ability work together perfectly, making their combo move virtually unbeatable.
Whenever danger strikes during the investigation, Xie Yu always puts himself in harm’s way, saving Xia Wei time and again. Once or twice is one thing, but after so many times, even a heart of stone would melt.
As the truth gradually comes to light, Xia Wei finally learns why their abilities complement each other so well.
And where does that faint, familiar feeling between them come from...
