[Fate/Kiri Kotomine] The Opposite of Despair

[Reading premise: Second-run Kiritsugu + Kirei with a mixed soul, primarily told from Kirei's perspective]

[Lady Ajisai and Irisviel's roles have been properly separated. This can be read as a clean romance.]

Is hope the opposite of despair?

Kotomine Kirei doesn't know the answer to that question.

Both the Kirei of the past and the Kirei of the present have always searched for some ultimate answer that could explain their existence.

He often feels that he is guilty of something. Otherwise, how could he explain the wall between himself and the world?

His name means "clear beauty," yet he is completely unable to understand what ordinary people find beautiful...

Until that figure appeared in his sight.

He feels he can find the answer in him.
