A Guide to the Road to the Yellow Springs [Infinite]

Shi Tingyu is a second-year law student who works part-time as a horror game streamer. Stressed out by his finals, he goes crazy and lectures his viewers on the law. One day, the chat tricks him into downloading a rogue app: The Yellow Springs Loop.

Instance One: At the Academy of Clearing Injustices, children are trafficked and people have their hearts torn out.

Shi Tingyu opens the chat: Usually, this is illegal. Everyone, remember to call 110.

An NPC quietly says: If 110 could help, why would we still be trapped here?

After setting the instance on fire without hesitation, Shi Tingyu says solemnly: Then it's a case of necessity, like this.

Before leaving the instance, he even mischievously adds a line to the end of the academy rules: If you need help, call the police!

Instance Two: A great fog invades a town, treating all the resident NPCs and players as sacrifices.

Shi Tingyu says breezily: Today's lesson is "Reject Feudal Superstition and Believe in Scientific Materialism." Don't believe in windows that open by themselves or shapeless lumps of flesh.

A shapeless lump of flesh wriggles toward him.

Shi Tingyu lights incense and bows: After the founding of the nation, no one is allowed to become a demon. You all saw wrong.

The chat freezes: Wait, if you're not afraid, why are you praying?

Instance Three: An upgraded instance, a multiplayer game of cat and mouse, with a 99% death rate.

Shi Tingyu says with determination: Long time no see. Today's lesson is "Unity Is Strength." Find the source of the conflict, join forces, and destroy it.

The many players: Seriously, bro? You're talking about unity is strength in an instance like this?

As the death toll rises, Shi Tingyu shakes a set of keys at everyone: Come on, repeat after me: Unity is strength!

The keys are fake. Unity is the key.

Shi Tingyu opens the chat with a satisfied expression: That's called the art of war.

The livestream audience goes from (?ì _ í?) to (⊙︿⊙) to (-V-).

From doubting Shi Tingyu, to understanding him, to believing in him.

Why does Shi Tingyu work so hard to clear the instances? His eyes are full of weary resignation. It's only because he nearly died in an instance after misusing a skill, and ended up with Xi Mo as his patron.

First impression: The patron is strange, stupid, and rich in points.

Then, for some reason, his debt in points keeps growing. Shi Tingyu coolly starts listing Xi Mo's past roles. Friend? Yes. Patron? Yes. Instance NPC? Also yes.

Reader's guide: 1. Shi Tingyu will save people, but he isn't a self-sacrificing saint.

2. Xi Mo isn't split into copies. He changes identities.

3. Three thousand words daily, with occasional bonus chapters.

4. Aside from the main couple, there is no fixed team clearing the instances.
