As a new-generation variety show combining a traditional idol survival competition with a music variety program, SUPER STAR was highly anticipated even before it aired.
After all, the 101 mysterious contestants who made it through the auditions would not be revealed until the premiere.
According to insiders, they were top students selected from various colleges: passionate young people who had pursued their dreams away from the public eye!
Though they might not sound as polished as professionally trained idols, the words "college students" called to mind youthful energy and vigor.
And the contestant-selection process, similar to the "growth" style of idol shows, made countless fans eager to watch this brand-new journey begin.
On the day of the premiere, under the spotlights in the broadcast studio...
As all eyes turned toward the stage, the first trainee made an unhurried entrance, leaving an unforgettable first impression in countless hearts.
It was supposed to be a thrilling live broadcast watched by the whole country, with close-up shots from every angle.
But at that moment, the otherwise empty studio held only a boy asleep in his chair!
No one knew that Chi Yi was exhausted after finally escaping the cannon-fodder labor System that had been dodging and hiding from him.
And no one could have known how powerful he would become, or how important a place he would claim among the trainees.
For now, everyone was too busy flooding the screen with comments.
[Youth is great. You can just lie down and fall asleep.]
[How can you sleep at a time like this!!!!]
