The Gods Above

Chen Zongai is from Chaoshan. He has three older sisters, and his parents proudly introduce him as the only son in the family.

Under those circumstances, in the dating market, he's a third-tier choice at best.

The good news: he doesn't lower the bar in the dating market.

The bad news: he's come out.

Chen Zongai can't stand kids like Lin Wei, who grew up in a happy family.

He came out during puberty, and his parents didn't have another child to replace him.

Instead, they doted on him.

Even his great-grandparent, who's over eighty and lives back in the old hometown, can't bear to let him touch a dishcloth.

A textbook example of a happy family.

Chen Zongai: I wish I could steal a family like that!

After thinking it over, all he can do is pursue him and steal his family away as his partner.

But Chen Zongai isn't gay!

Just thinking about getting intimate with a man makes him lose interest.

Later, against the dark gray sheets, Lin Wei's lips are a vivid red, his eyes are full of desire, his beauty dazzling...

No wonder the Bible begins with the forbidden fruit.

No wonder Tantric Buddhism worships the Hehuan Buddha.

Chen Zongai murmurs in a daze, "God above..."
