Fu Zhao was a deranged, obsessive top with a strong creepy-ghost vibe. He could have followed the usual formula, imprisoned the Immortal Venerable, and then gotten down to business. Unfortunately, he ran into Wenren Ying, an Immortal Realm Supreme whose name alone had kept the Three Realms in check for eight hundred years. Given that status, it made perfect sense that Fu Zhao later ended up imprisoned on Lingjian Peak, where Wenren Ying could do whatever he wanted with him.
