The third and final installment

One day, a servant returns with word that the young madam met a handsome man outside under the pretext of sparring, and that the two secretly met and even became physically intimate. Zuo Zongbao is furious and shouts toward the bedroom, his voice cracking. "You're a married woman, yet you secretly meet another man. Do you even care about me, your husband? You shameless..."

Before he can finish, Wu Xiyue steps out of the room, one hand clenched in a fist and the other on her hip. She stands in the courtyard. "I'm what?"

Zuo Zongbao's voice immediately drops by several octaves. He retreats with one hand against the wall, sweating profusely. "You're, you're n-n-n-not, n-n-n-not..."
