(The blurb may change, but the setting won't.)
Kazami Tomoya has a face that is extremely misleading:
Soft pink hair, making him look cute and sweet, but his temper is absolutely awful...
Round pink eyes, making him look gentle and mild, but his tongue is dipped in poison...
He can offend everyone with a mouth no one can beat,
then lift that sweet, adorable face and leave them utterly confused.
"Wait, did that really come out of this cutie's mouth?!"
"He's insulting me, so why is my heart suddenly racing?"
Kazami Tomoya hates being treated unfairly! He hates being judged by his looks! He hates being looked down on!
And he especially hates...
that short little volleyball from his club!!!
How can someone exist who waits for others to underestimate him, then shocks them all in a match?
Has he read too much manga and light novels? Is he still going through his chuunibyou phase?
The two clash from the moment they meet, and neither can stand the other:
Kazami Tomoya: An arrogant, annoying little runt!
Hoshiumi Kourai: A big-talking, two-faced egomaniac!
The two can't stand each other. They bicker every day, sometimes more than once a day, with Hakuba Meisei occasionally joining the fray. Hirugami Sachiro, who is always stuck breaking up their fights, wants to take a detour whenever he sees the three of them.
The one thing everyone at Kamomedai asks of this pink-haired cutie is:
"You can insult those two, but don't insult us, okay? (gently)"
In everyone's eyes, Kazami Tomoya has always been an all-around genius.
Whatever he tries, he picks up quickly and beats the recognized geniuses in that field.
But he has absolutely no interest in volleyball. The only reason he started playing was that he found it amusing how obsessed the little orange-haired neighbor was with the sport.
After meeting Hoshiumi Kourai, though, he swears he'll make that annoying little guy lose to him,
then say right to his face:
Volleyball is nothing special after all~
But as he keeps playing, he realizes volleyball isn't so bad,
and that little volleyball...
isn't so bad either...
Bonus Scene:
"At least give me a proper compliment at the end!!!"
"Absolutely not!"
Notes:
1. Kazami Tomoya gives everything his all, no matter what he does. Even when covered in injuries, he'll grit his teeth and keep charging ahead. His animal form is a rabbit. He's got a terrible temper and can endure pain exceptionally well.
2. He's in the same year as Hoshiumi Kourai and only starts playing volleyball in high school.
3. Pairing: Hoshiumi Kourai. Tomoya is an outside hitter. In this version, Hakuba Meisei plays opposite.
4. Apologies in advance for OOC characterization and all the headcanons.
5. The author has never played volleyball. All volleyball knowledge comes from the original work and the internet. Please point out any factual errors.
