A dream?
Clark walked calmly along the edge of Earth, quietly taking in the more beautiful "second home" of his dream. Scarlet dust drifted softly across this world.
In the dream, Earth's air was fresher and the sky clearer. Watching people's bright smiles in the skies above Metropolis, he couldn't help smiling too.
This place was so beautiful, but he knew it was time to wake up. He still had a more important mission to fulfill.
Then he saw a familiar yet unfamiliar face, and joy he hadn't felt in so long flooded through his whole body.
Clark knew he would never wake up.
Then came an embrace filled with longing.
He was just going about his ordinary duties as Superman when someone suddenly rushed over and hugged the Superman of the main universe tightly. Superman: ?
Then he saw that person crying and calling him Dad.
Simple, earnest Superman: pupils shaking violently!

I'll start writing once the Absolute Universe comics reach issue 7. The plot will be rather conventional, and there will be some OOC.
