Silent Hues

A loving gaze upon a heartless world. Meng Se looks at Ke Ji and sees someone willing to trade loneliness for a shred of self-respect. That pitifully small measure of dignity keeps this noble-blooded young man’s head held high. (The real meaning of the above sentimental line is that the insecure are often arrogant.) Ke Ji looks at Meng Se and sees only black, white, and gray. It’s not that Meng Se lacks color: his eyes can only make out shades, not colors. (The real meaning of the above sentimental line is that poor little Ji is color-blind!) Meng Se looks at Lu Er and sees a sweet, innocent creature who has spent ninety-nine years cultivating herself, all for the chance to hold a human’s hands and feel that touch for real. (The real meaning of the above sentimental line is that this little monster has a thing for hands!) Ke Ji looks at Shi Mou, whose bewitching eyes cannot bear the clash of blood kin fighting at close quarters. (The real meaning of the above sentimental line is that this story will also feature a gloriously dramatic brotherly romance... +_+|||) Four people, a chapter of history, and half a lifetime of fate. (The real meaning of the above sentimental line is that this is a tangled, baffling story about a human who wants to become a monk, a human who wants to become emperor, a monk who wants to become emperor, and a monster who wants to become human. It might have a tragic ending, but it definitely won’t be raunchy...) This story is being serialized on the Jinjiang BBS. If you like it, please help bump the thread, ladies~
