The girl stared straight at Sui Xin, her eyes full of wariness.

Her friend nudged the girl. "Go on, say hello."

The girl shrank back and turned away. Sui Xin raised a hand to stop her. "That's enough. Don't make the child do it."

Later, Sui Xin put on a stern face and kept her distance. "I'm your aunt."

The girl stepped closer, pressing her. "What kind of aunt are you? You're just older than me. If you like women, why won't you let yourself like me?"

Sui Xin turned away, refusing to look at her. "I'm your aunt."

Pu Yang pulled her into her arms and buried her face in the hollow of her shoulder, her voice aggrieved and pitiful. "My feelings are real. Don't treat me like a kid. Please."

Her breath brushed Sui Xin's neck, so warm that Sui Xin's heart trembled.
