The Great Demon King and His Unruly Caged Bird
-
Shen Yinyin, the Shen family's Third Miss, was born from an affair between the family patriarch, who never knew when to stop, and a courtesan from a brothel.
Though she had the title of Third Miss, she lived in the Shen residence worse than a dog that couldn't please its master. Everyone despised her.
But she had inherited her short-lived mother's best features. Even at a young age, she was fair-skinned and beautiful, with a slender waist and long legs, a face made to ruin a kingdom.
To make the most of her, the Shen family patriarch sent her off as a plaything to the ruthless Prince Teng, just after she came of age, in hopes of currying favor with him.
Before the sedan chair could reach Prince Teng's residence, someone intercepted it along the way.

Xiao Yuan had once been the tutor of the Shen family's most inconspicuous Third Miss for a time. No one knew of this buried past.
Xiao Yuan never spoke of it, and Shen Yinyin had kept it well hidden too.
The beauty lowered her head, eyes half closed.
Unconscious, she had no idea where she was.
The tall, handsome man gazed down at her jade-smooth cheek, his eyes cruel. "You've been running for years, Yinyin. You've grown up..."
After all the twists and turns, she had ended up in his hands.
