[Don't Pick Grass by Your Own Door]
Qi Zhi and Shen Yu grew up together. They've been best friends for more than ten years, the kind who'd share a pair of pants. Shen Yu has pale, cool-toned skin and a beauty mark hidden beneath his lower lashes. He's blessed with a handsome face and smiles warmly at everyone, seeming incredibly approachable. Only Qi Zhi knows how thoughtless he can be.
Shen Yu had three failed relationships, and Qi Zhi kept him company over drinks after each breakup. Drinking leads to trouble, and one thing led to another. Qi Zhi pulled up his pants and acted as if nothing had happened.
Afterward, though, Qi Zhi found fault with everything Shen Yu did. He didn't like seeing him lend things to other people, go home with female classmates, or get confessed to.
With his heart feeling heavy, Qi Zhi bought a pile of liquor and took it home. As he drank, he thought, That idiot Shen Yu. Someone has those kinds of filthy thoughts about him, and he still agrees to be friends with them? He's so stupid.
As he kept drinking, Qi Zhi grew hazy. He slept for a while in the middle of the night, then woke with a start, convinced he was about to die. He hurriedly called Shen Yu. Shen Yu answered in a lazy voice. "This better be important."
"I feel awful, like something's beating against my heart the wrong way. But the moment I hear your voice, I feel better. It's so weird. Why is that?"
Shen Yu rolled over and laughed coldly. "Because you're fucking in love with me."
Later, Shen Yu watched Qi Zhi, who kept asking for kisses, and said helplessly, "Didn't you say rabbits don't eat the grass by their own burrow?"
Biting at the hollow of his neck, Qi Zhi mumbled, "I'm not a rabbit. I'm Xiaoyu's puppy."
