I, the American Cockroach, Will Never Give Up!

[A stress-relief story written while saving up chapters! A short story, just as the title says: a cockroach story. Warning: the logic is dead on arrival!]

After a nuclear apocalypse wipes out almost all life, only one mutated female cockroach remains on ancient Earth.

Her full name is American cockroach, and her nickname is Little Strong. She's the stuff of nightmares, and has always enjoyed a comfortable, fulfilling life crawling around wherever she pleases.

Then she wakes up one day to find her entire species gone.

As an American cockroach who loves company, she absolutely cannot accept this!

While crying her eyes out, she discovers that her mutation has eliminated reproductive isolation.

And so...

.

I am a bug that lives on decay, but I do not feel ashamed or inferior. I, too, am a tenacious life form shaped by billions of years of evolution. I crawl and hide only because I love being alive.
