I suffered a major setback in real life back then, and it left me in a terrible state. But I'd signed a contract with A Jin and didn't want to miss my chance as a new author, so I gritted my teeth and started writing this novel. The result was a complete mess.

But this was the first novel I wrote on A Jin, and it'll stay in my column in the future. I don't want it to become an embarrassment, or to let down my readers, so I've decided to rewrite the whole thing.

The Powerful Man Surrenders for Love

After his mother dies, his father remarries. His stepmother dislikes him, so Xie Yun grows up sleeping in the hallway, through spring, summer, autumn, and winter, day after day. No one ever cares whether he's hot or cold, whether he's eaten enough, or whether he's dressed warmly.

No one loves him. He's used to it.

He gives everything he has to get into the First Mecha Academy. Every day, he studies mecha diligently, dreaming of joining the military after graduation and becoming an outstanding pilot.

Xie Yun's excellent grades earn him the teacher's admiration, but also make him the target of the academy's young prince's jealousy. The other boy has a powerful background and a noble status. The empire's strongest hero, a major general, is his own older brother. Xie Yun, on the other hand, has nothing and no one to back him up.

Faced with bullying, Xie Yun can only endure it.

But his patience only makes the other boy go too far. Unable to take it anymore, Xie Yun punches him.

The next day, the much-talked-about major general arrives at the academy and, in front of all the students, orders his subordinate to hit Xie Yun twice in return.

The major general says that no one as lowborn as Xie Yun is allowed to lay a hand on his younger brother.

With blood streaming from his nose, Xie Yun kneels on one knee without saying a word.

Later, that lofty major general kneels before Xie Yun, begging this lowborn man to love him.
