"Evil is evil."
"Whether it's small, great, or somewhere in between makes no difference. Degree is relative, and the line is always blurred."
Iseriel remembered clearly. The White Wolf had said this to her after a mission.
"But could evil, taken to its extreme, become a kind of good?" she asked, feigning innocence. "For example, if I used evil to punish all evil, would that count as a good deed?"
The White Wolf gave a soft, amused snort and patted the top of her head. "You're overthinking it, Riel."
Back then, she'd planned to go back and brag to him after her next mission, and maybe confess her feelings while she was at it.
Even though she knew he had feelings for someone else, and knew perfectly well that he'd probably had almost as many love affairs as the monsters he'd killed.
She just hadn't expected that to be the last time she'd see Geralt, much less that she'd end up dying at the hands of a wyvern.
She thought she'd die with her regrets, but when she opened her eyes again, she was lying in an old house with a gloomy man in front of her.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"Iseriel Gwenllych, a Witcher," she replied, then asked, "And you?"
"Severus Snape, a Wizard."
Apparently, he knew nothing of Witchers, the Northern Kingdoms, or the Nilfgaardian Empire.
All he told her was that she was in Britain, ruled by Voldemort, the man he served.
What a joke. Had the Conjunction of the Spheres happened again?
Wait, this world has spells, werewolves, and demons too?
Iseriel smiled. If this world was just as chaotic, she might as well add fuel to the fire.
"You don't look too happy with this world either, Wizard," she said. "If you can't stand it, why keep bowing and scraping? Why not rule it yourself?"
[What to expect]
SSOC, Phoenix's Army Defeated, SS Survives AU. Two powerful leads, probably both insane.
No redemption, no mercy, no compromise. Everyone is evil.
The story is mainly set in the HP world. You can still enjoy it with the notes even if you haven't read The Witcher.
Theme: Don't think a little evil can't matter. You'll never know whether your choices are right or wrong.
