Branching Out

[BE! BE! Read with caution!!]

Xia Yunzhi is a washed-up actor. Just when he thinks he should give up acting, he meets Song Yifen at an art exhibition. Song Yifen takes the initiative and offers him a hand in friendship, but Xia Yunzhi doesn't think much of it.

Only later, when they meet again at the supermarket, does Song Yifen invite him out...

Despite Song Yifen's hints, Xia Yunzhi is as dense as a block of wood and doesn't understand what he means. Xia Yunzhi thinks all the things Song Yifen does are perfectly normal between friends.

"Xia Yunzhi, do you really not understand, or are you pretending? I like you."

Xia Yunzhi's heart races faster than anyone else's. He forces himself to calm down.

"Song Yifen, are you serious...?"

After many twists and turns, Xia Yunzhi finally understands his own feelings and accepts Song Yifen's confession.

At the height of Song Yifen's fame, rumors spread that all his paintings were stolen. As the rumors grew, Xia Yunzhi was the only one who believed him. Song Yifen could find only a little warmth in Xia Yunzhi.

Under pressure from his father, Song Yifen was nearly driven mad. He no longer cared about the rumors. He went to the seaside where he and Xia Yunzhi had fallen in love, and in the end, he jumped in...

After the news broke, Xia Yunzhi became mentally unstable.

"You said you wouldn't leave me."

"Song Yifen, I miss you so much."
