The fleet carried leading experts from every field, and their loss dealt the empire a devastating blow that was impossible to calculate.

In the aftermath of the "Ship of Theseus" incident, it came to light that Si Qingshan, a first-class engineer at the Imperial Academy of Mechanical Sciences who oversaw several of the empire's cutting-edge research projects and was hailed as a guiding light in the field, had engaged in extensive academic fraud, exploited his students, and pushed out his peers.

Si Du had only been admitted to the mechanical engineering department at Imperial University of Technology thanks to his father's connections. When Si Qingshan died, there was no one left to cover for him. To graduate, Si Du plagiarized a fellow student's paper and experimental data. When he was caught, he panicked and fell out of a lab window while trying to escape.

Si Du landed on the back of his head and fell into a coma, remaining in a vegetative state for seven whole years. Just when everyone thought he would never wake up, Si Du opened his eyes.

The first thing he did after waking was invoke the old ties between the Si and Gu families and demand that Gu Chengshuo, the Gu family's second son and an S-rank Alpha, marry him. The night before, Gu Chengshuo had just successfully confessed his love to Gong Xiaoya.

Gong Xiaoya is an orphan, but he's beautiful, gentle, clever, and brave. Every good word in the world describes him. He's practically the empire's darling.

Si Du may come from a distinguished family, but beneath the Si family's glamorous facade lies a cesspool of shameless, filthy ambition. He himself is just like his father: vile, corrupt, sinister, and malicious. He's the crippled B everyone in the empire despises.

Note: The bottom will use the top, but that's just a bit of fun between a couple. At heart, this is a sweet romance.

The plot doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Everything exists to help the leads' love story along.
