A Guide to Insectoid Marriage and Love

This is a fictional setting unrelated to the real world. Please don't conflate it with reality.

The male insectoid Cohen is the most infuriating thorn in the Empire's side.

One of only two S-class male insectoids in history, he makes the even rarer, brazen declaration that he has no intention of marrying. He means it, too, rejecting every match with an iron-fisted attitude and stating plainly that he'll stay single for life.

The Empire has no choice, but it doesn't dare force the issue.

It can only let him remain single from larva to adult. At twenty-two, when male insectoids from other families have queens, consorts, and slaves, with wives and concubines by the dozen, he is still wandering alone, the only insect in his household.

The Empire is tearing its hair out over finding him a match. Then, one day, this stubborn insect suddenly decides to take a female insectoid as his slave!

The Empire doesn't even have time to worry that the female insectoid has just been dragged out of military court, covered in wounds and not really fit to serve as a male's consort.

An S-class male insectoid wants someone, an S-class male insectoid gets them.

The Imperial Registry doesn't dare waste a moment. It quickly bundles the insectoid off to him, afraid the S-class male will change his mind if they wait even a second.

Unfortunately, the male insectoid in question has no idea he's taking a female slave.

When a beautiful female insectoid arrives at his home, he just assumes she's a female roommate who's come to stay for a while.

My take on the insectoid world. The top is not weak!! The top is not weak!! The top is not weak!!

A mountain of original worldbuilding. Marriage first, love later; paired first, then falling in love.

A domineering, old-fashioned S-class mental-force dom top: cold on the outside and even colder within, seemingly easygoing with other insectoids but secretly overflowing with possessiveness and a need for control. A scheming master of the situation.

A beautiful, strong-but-tragic S-class bottom who has given up hope of everything, never expecting salvation to come. Patient and obedient.

1. One-on-one, both are each other's first. Strong top, beautiful bottom. The top is a hopeless romantic at heart and adores his bottom.

2. My preference is for an unequal relationship where both sides feel intensely for each other, with the connection as thick as an oil pipeline. CPJ, staunch one-on-one loyalist. My writing style and preferences are very consistent, so this may not suit those with extreme character favoritism. If you don't like it, please make use of the exit and block-author functions. Don't insult the author or the two main characters, okay? Okay.

3. This is a nontraditional insectoid-world redemption story, and not a conventional wish-fulfillment story. Both protagonists have flaws, distinct personalities, and painful pasts. Their behavior may seem odd at times, but it follows their own logic. There's a main plot, as well as character growth arcs.

It's marriage first, love later, with a gradual shift into love and affection. But at the beginning, they do NOT love each other! If you want instant wish fulfillment or redemption from the very first chapter, please use the exit function. Don't insult me or the two main characters.
