The young and promising Xu Yingwu gets into a car accident. When he wakes from his coma, he discovers he’s transmigrated into Ying Bojue, the comic side character in the classic novel The Plum in the Golden Vase!
In the original story, Ying Bojue spends his days egging Ximen Qing on to indulge in wine and women and abuse his power for personal gain, skimming a little money off the top. After Ximen Qing dies in Pan Jinlian’s bed from excessive lust, Ying Bojue loses his livelihood and dies in poverty.
To change this sordid and tragic fate, Xu Yingwu lays out a “Five-Year Plan for Poverty Alleviation”:
1. Help Ximen Qing cultivate himself and live a long life.
2. Assist Ximen Qing in governing wisely and setting himself on the right path.
3. (Crossed out) Lead Ximen Qing in exploring... (crossed out) Drive away every last one of those “seductive sluts” around Ximen Qing!
* A righteous, pseudo-straight top x a scheming, genuinely straight bottom
* The bottom is Ximen Qing, so please take note.
* This story only borrows the main characters and key events from The Plum in the Golden Vase. The characters’ personalities and motivations are all my own. Original-work fans, don’t argue with me. If you do, you’re right.
* You don’t need to have read The Plum in the Golden Vase to enjoy this story. The relevant plot points and supporting characters will be briefly explained in the text.
* This story will never go behind a paywall. It’ll always be free, and the only authorized publication is on Jinjiang Literature City. I’m not responsible for pirated copies. Please support the original and don’t let pirates trick you into giving them money or clicks. Thank you, thank you!
* My completed modern romance, A Rich Young Master’s Tutor from a Humble Background, features a clear-headed, restrained top from a humble background x a wealthy, spoiled, flirtatious beauty as the bottom. Check it out in my author’s column!
***Coming soon: my next story***
The Burning Precept
Book ID: 10505983
Cultivator x monk
Ruthless, vindictive, wolfish top x slightly dim, guileless, innocent beauty bottom
Alopen, head of the Church of the East in the Western Regions’ Daqin, travels a great distance to Chang’an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, with his disciple Porang. They present an image of the Heavenly Father to the Son of Heaven, who grants them permission to build a church in Yining Ward and spread salvation.
While the church is being built, the master and disciple stay at Chongfu Temple in Yining Ward, where they are treated with courtesy and hospitality by the abbot, Master Zhixing.
Porang is seventeen, handsome, broad-shouldered and slender-waisted, agile, and exceptionally fierce. The monks are wary and hostile toward this savage “warrior monk” from a foreign land.
Only a young novice monk called Huichi smiles at Porang. His face is as fair and beautiful as an angel’s, and he keeps inexplicably drawing near. His eyes, dark as onyx, are full of tender affection.
One night, while Porang is praying, Huichi suddenly appears. Smiling sweetly, he points to the statue behind Porang, depicting a man and woman seated together in sexual union. Then he takes Porang’s hand and invites him to join in!
The young novice Huichi of Chongfu Temple has red lips, pearly teeth, and tender eyes, but he’s not very bright and spends all day grinning foolishly.
Because he is beautiful and delicate, his senior fellow monks often tease and bully him, but he never fights back.
Yet ever since the two foreigners moved into the temple, no one has dared to bully Huichi again.
That’s because the fierce Daqin warrior monk is always silently following behind Huichi, like a leopard ready to pounce on its prey.
One day, it’s Huichi’s turn to sweep and dust the statue of the Joyful Union Buddha. He’s worrying that he’s too short to reach the tall statue when he happens upon Porang meditating nearby.
Huichi: Porang, will you help me wipe the Joyful Union Buddha? You won’t? Why not? Please, I’m asking you for help. Just use your hand to wipe the dust off the top, please.
Never could he have imagined that Porang, who was always so kind to him, would not only refuse to help him with his chores, but suddenly give in to his animal urges and pick him up to kiss him!
On the night before the church’s consecration, a bolt of lightning strikes the wooden cross atop the tower, threatening to start a great fire.
The monks of Chongfu Temple rush to put it out, only to find the Imperial Guard has surrounded the temple and is demanding they hand over the “orphaned heir of the Hidden Crown Prince,” accusing them of harboring rebels.
Master Zhixing stops Porang, who has come to borrow water, and pushes Huichi into his arms. “He’s yours. Whether he lives or dies depends on you.”
Porang: So that’s why we were struck by lightning. I’m about to break one of the Ten Commandments.
Reader’s guide:
* They are both unquestionably pure in body and mind, but the top and bottom don’t speak the same language, and the bottom isn’t very bright. They’ll have trouble understanding each other at first, and the bottom is slower to return the top’s affection.
* I’m reliable about finishing stories. Everything in my author’s column is complete, and this story is already fully drafted. Updates start over summer break. If you’re interested, please add it to your collection to show some support!
Theme: A prodigal who turns back is worth more than gold
My initial impression of Chen Jingji was not good - he was stupid, weak and cowardly. But when he went to "Mai" and gave the pork to Da'an, I knew that this character would leave a deep mark on my heart. Sure enough, I was very sad when he died. He was so stupid. Because of other people's illusory lies, he felt that he had received love, and then he tried his best to be good to Da'an. [Crying loudly][Crying loudly][Crying loudly] Fortunately, he was the last one (Although it's very short - ma'am, I haven't seen enough yet)
Teacher, you are a real literary giant. Please write another book. Wwww
The author's writing has the flavor of colorful novels from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Love and love ultimately lead people to do good. The secular world is still in vain. Marriage and love have their own consequences.
Teacher, you are so good at writing. This article fills the gap where JJ doesn't have an original script [Baoquan]
A dream in Penglai goes with the wind, and you should realize that the world is empty The plot has ups and downs, and karma has been predetermined. The arrival of Ying Wu cannot change their lives leading to nothingness. They are crazy and crazy. All the characters are constantly experiencing ups and downs, and they are constantly losing. Fate crushes everyone equally. At the end of the chapter, when Lu Zhishen beat Ximen Qing with his Zen cane, I felt like I had been hit hard in the brain. As Ximen Qing walked through violent love and hate, he finally calmly accepted his fate; in the end, the author made a wonderful twist and connected it to the realm of the Three Pure Ones. It was really wonderful! Excellent! My feelings for my favorite characters are parental. After knowing the unchangeable fate, if there is a chance to do it over again, I would rather the child be mediocre or mediocre and live a happy life in the worldly sense; so when I read derivative works, rather than sticking to the original text, I read more works that can satisfy some regrets. This article is a rare derivative that follows the original work from the core, so in the end, I can only be like a parent who accepts the rebellion of his children, helplessly watching them meet their own destiny.
[Purple Sugar] kswl [Orange Sugar] I got it. Woo hoo, it's well written. The writing style is so exciting. The author will start the next book soon.
I was heartbroken when I saw it in the front, but my mouth broke with laughter in the back.
It's actually Saburo's extra episode 😭 😭 😭 I felt sour after reading it
Please come back to the abo world for another 300 chapters [hug your thighs]
Haha, the ending is really a "magic" unfolding.
