My Lord Above

Powerful, dominant woman ruler x a frail little princess who "can't look after herself"

The Honored One is a cunning, cautious ruler who remains wary of everyone.

Yan Ling: Honored One, I, cough, cough.

She's too frail to look after herself, and her health is poor.

The Honored One: Have the imperial physician examine you.

Whenever the Honored One travels and sees the wider world, Yan Ling praises her.

Yan Ling: Honored One, you know so much, cough, cough, cough.

Now it is the Honored One's turn to frown with worry: "Your health..."

Yan Ling keeps pretending to be frail: "Honored One, I'm fine."

It's true that her health is poor, but she's not quite at death's door.

One day, the Honored One sees Yan Ling playing outside the palace, full of energy.

The Honored One pulls Yan Ling inside. "You little thing, was your poor health all an act?"

After a night of passionate lovemaking, Yan Ling admits she was wrong.
