Mumu was a crabapple tree in You Ran Valley. After a thousand years, she transformed into a demon.
When demons invaded You Ran Valley, Ling Guang, an immortal from the Celestial Realm, was ordered to lead a campaign there.
With her life hanging by a thread, Mumu was saved by Ling Guang.
Mumu thought this immortal was nothing like the others. He was actually willing to sacrifice his spiritual power to save a little demon like her.
Since this immortal had saved her, and she was lonely all by herself in You Ran Valley, Mumu decided to cultivate immortality and go to Ling Guang's side.
Five hundred years later, Mumu finally made it to Ling Guang's side. She thought she would stay with him forever.
The two spent every day together, and a hundred years quietly passed in You Ran Valley.
But the demons broke through their seal once more. Ling Guang gave his life to restore it, and Mumu refused to believe he was gone for good. Using her own soul as the catalyst, she activated a soul-summoning array.
A thousand years passed in the blink of an eye. Mumu waited with all her heart for Ling Guang to come back to life, but the one who awoke was Si Yue, the former God of War who had died ten thousand years ago.
Even though Si Yue's face resembled Ling Guang's, Mumu knew he was not her Ling Guang.
She thought that immortals truly did live for a long time. She had endured a thousand years and could endure no longer. She wanted to go find Ling Guang.
But she did not even know where Ling Guang had gone. The world was vast, the four realms immense, and Ling Guang was nowhere to be found.
