[Western Crossover] The Compatibility of Magic and Gotham

Merlin's old granny! I, Alex Dumbledore, tried Apparating and ended up in a whole new world. Daddy, save me, come get me, I'm scared!!! There's a giant bat here who can talk, and he's abducting underage wizards! Jay, run! The old bat is kidnapping kids! (screams in anguish) Back! Back!

(Author's notes: At thirteen, people enter their differentiation period. Gellert Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore are both alphas. Alex is a magical familiar formed from a blood pact, and has always been raised by Gellert. He has only ever seen Albus in photographs, so in little Alex's eyes, Gellert is both his dad and his mom. Since Alex is a familiar formed from a blood pact, he can sense the magic on other people. Alex's surname is Dumbledore because Gellert feels guilty for taking one of Albus's relatives away from him. Alex's arrival made Grindelwald think he should give Albus a Dumbledore back. Albus doesn't know Alex exists. Grindelwald tells the outside world that Alex is a distant relative of his; only the inner circle of the Acolytes knows who Alex really is.)
