Xu Zhen, the coffin keeper at a funeral home, lived a dull, miserable life. Then one day, the coroner delivered the body of Li Xiaofeng, a wandering swordsman.
As Xu Zhen arranged the body, he suddenly felt a chill wind. He turned around and saw a ghost standing there, identical to the corpse.
Xu Zhen screamed.
The evil spirit bared its blue face and fangs and was about to claw out his heart when a flash of golden light sent it flying eight zhang away.
The spirit got up and charged again.
It was sent flying again...
Xu Zhen turned around and saw that the blue-faced, fanged ghost had vanished. A handsome man, bruised and battered, angrily scrambled to his feet. "Stop running! What's the point? I can't catch you anyway!"
Xu Zhen trembled with fear.
Li Xiaofeng plonked himself down on his coffin like a king. "Damn it all, I'm starving. Get me a couple of dishes to eat. They'd better have meat. Hurry up!"
Xu Zhen: "..."
Li Xiaofeng refused to take the road to the underworld. He spent every day dreaming of returning to life to find his killer and take revenge. Since Xu Zhen was the only one who could see him, he clung to him and wouldn't let go. Thus began the two of them's strange and wondrous supernatural journey.
