Seventy-five years after the founding of New China, tomb raiding entered its golden age. The most famous forces were the Four Schools, Nine Gates, Two Clans, and Three Great Powers, which kept one another in check and left one another alone. To this day, the Four Schools and Nine Gates still have successors in the world. The Seven-Star Lu Palace, the Snake Marsh Ghost City, the Zhang Family Ancient Tower, the Ancient City of Jingjue, Kunlun Shrine, the Nine-Story Demon Tower, and a host of other astonishing places had their mysteries unveiled by successors of the two great powers. Only the Two Clans vanished without a trace fifty years ago, their whereabouts unknown, seemingly erased from the river of time. Their Strange Records, documenting the Liu family's history of tomb raiding and countless secrets, disappeared. The Wang family's sacred relic, the Ghost Token, vanished as well. Twenty-six years later, a tomb-raiding team set out to uncover the mystery of the Two Clans' disappearance and find the Strange Records and Ghost Token. After two years of gathering clues and searching far and wide, they finally found an apparently ordinary tomb in Shandong, then disappeared in Luoshan without a trace. Several people who seemed to have no connection to one another gradually became linked, opening a new chapter in the history of tomb raiding.
