The Breeze on a Midsummer Night (No Getting Back Together)

Because her family favored boys over girls, Qiaoqiao was never appreciated no matter how hard she tried. On top of that, she was timid, so she was bullied at school too. Her childhood was miserable. After getting married, her husband treated her like she wasn't human, since she had no dowry and hadn't brought all the bride price back to his family. He beat and berated her, and often subjected her to the silent treatment.

Eventually, Qiaoqiao couldn't take it anymore. She wanted a divorce and to see the world on her own.

She visited Luoyang, Shanghai, Qingdao, Zhenjiang... She saw the Potala Palace and the ruins of the Guge Kingdom in Tibet, Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan, the Terracotta Army in Xi'an, and the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang...

The world is vast. No one will ever hold her back again.

She is the wind, a free wind.
