Synopsis
I'm drafting this story first. I'll start posting once the draft is finished.
Ruan Shan transmigrates into the world of cultivation and gets the role of a stand-in for a dead lover, with three men pursuing her.
The moment she steps into Xuanyang Sword Sect, countless eyes are fixed on her.
Her second senior brother is an aloof beauty, handsome as jade. His clear eyes are cold and discerning toward everyone else, but soft as water when he looks at her. He even tells her not to call him Senior Brother, just by his name.
Her eldest senior brother is peerlessly elegant, bloodthirsty and murderous, always covered in battle wounds. The world sees him as a madman, but before her he is humble and attentive, the very picture of a good husband.
Her junior senior brother is a brooding, rebellious young man with beautiful peach-blossom eyes. He's either taking revenge or on his way to do so, a sensitive, stubborn, prickly wolf who turns into a drenched puppy in her presence.
She thinks they only approach her because she looks like Ruan Ling, the dead genius beloved by heaven. But one day, a lightning tribulation unlocks her spiritual roots, and she learns the truth: Ruan Ling was her life before her previous one. There was no stand-in, only the one he loved. She is both Ruan Shan and Ruan Ling.
Amid a thousand drunken dreams, in a peach-blossom paradise, her usually arrogant and aloof junior senior brother, Luo Xuyuan, rests his head in Ruan Shan's lap. A faint blush colors the skin beneath his exquisite peach-blossom eyes. He stares at her, his gaze growing ever sharper as the haze clears.
Suddenly, the young man rolls over and pins her against a tree. Flower petals and leaves tumble around them. His eyes are slightly red, his gaze obsessed and stubborn, and he abruptly asks:
"Why did you leave me back then? Tell me, and I'll change everything."
Ruan Shan: I'm asking you, Ruan Ling. Why did you dump him back then?
Lotus leaves overlap, steam billows. She accidentally trespasses into the forbidden pool where her eldest senior brother, Lian Yan'a, is recuperating. She sees a breathtaking, battle-worn man radiating enough raw allure to overwhelm anyone. Without realizing it, her nose starts to bleed. She covers it in a panic and tries to flee, but he grabs her wrist and pulls her into his arms.
She's trembling, terrified, and in a complete muddle, but the man leans close to her ear and murmurs calmly:
"Madam, didn't you used to love this?"
Ruan Shan: Ruan Ling, you shameless little minx, you really went all out!
A lone sail fades into the distance, a small boat cutting across the water. Her second senior brother, Fu Ying, stands proudly at the bow, letting the boat drift without a paddle. The wind bellows into his sleeves, and his dark hair is held by a jade crown. One glance over his shoulder is enough to steal anyone's breath.
They are supposed to sail together to Lanzhou Island in search of the Whitehead Immortal, but he deliberately stirs up the wind and leaves the boat adrift for seven whole days.
Layered mountain ranges stretch into the distance, with not a soul in sight. His usually cool, unruffled voice suddenly breaks the silence:
"Xiao Shan, we're not going back."
Ruan Shan looks up in astonishment. The dark eyes that are usually gentle and serene now hold a chilling hint of possessiveness.
Ruan Shan: Ruan Ling, you take over. I can't do this anymore.
Reborn in this life, she still has to clean up the mess from two lives ago. With three men putting on a show, she's trapped in the middle of a chaotic love triangle, but she finds a way out of it.
Everyone in her sect loves gossip, but they can only gossip at set times and places every night. It's so inconvenient.
So she uses the Qianxu Mirror to invent something called Flying Spirit Feed.
The Qianxu Mirror is like a phone, and Flying Spirit Feed is like a gossip group chat.
Anyone can send what they're thinking into their own mind through Flying Spirit Feed, making gossip accessible anytime, anywhere.
But she never expected that one day, her invention would become the tool everyone used to spread gossip about her firsthand.
So this happens all the time: Lian Yan'a, Luo Xuyuan, or Fu Ying, alone, in pairs, or all together, appear in the same place and scene as her, and every disciple in sight immediately whips out their Qianxu Mirror.
Ruan Shan: Seriously, do you have to make it so obvious you're gossiping!?
So she decides to start charging them.
Every time someone uses Flying Spirit Feed, they have to send in three points of spiritual energy.
With enough spiritual energy, she can advance her Soul Essence rank and go from a good-for-nothing to a success.
With her new attitude, she turns her natural talent for becoming the subject of gossip into a source of endless wealth.
If they love gossip so much, she'll give them all they can handle.
1. This isn't a story about the heroine winning over three male leads. The three male leads are the ones pursuing her.
2. The heroine isn't strong from the start, but she'll grow stronger later. Everyone gets a chance to shine.
3. This story is full of original worldbuilding.
4. Cultivation progresses through Soul Essence ranks. Early on, cultivators develop in all areas; later, they specialize in one or two. Only the ultimate masters can cultivate in more than three. There are six cultivation paths in this story: sword, spell, alchemy, talismans, artifact crafting, and beast taming.
5. The main characters all have different personalities and can't be divided into good and evil. Each has their own code of honor. The heroine is kind at heart, but later becomes decisive and ruthless.
Just to be clear: soapy melodrama, Mary Sue, sweet romance, goofy tone, straightforward writing, easy reading. Don't overthink it, just have fun.
Theme: The greatest charm lies in improving yourself.
