Chen Lu is the cultivation world's most beautiful person. True to his name, he is as cold and refined as a clear morning sky, as bright and serene as the dew on a sacred tree.
Everyone praises his noble character, calling him a rare gentleman in this world.
Only Fan Lingyun knows how cruel and venomous the supposedly peerless "Fairy Chen Lu" really is.
For over a hundred years since Mu Chen Lu abandoned him, Fan Lingyun has relived his pain and hatred day after day, scraping by and enduring hardship as he bided his time. He wanted to remake himself, appear before Mu Chen Lu again, pluck this untouchable flower from its lofty perch, trample him into the mud, and shatter his heart of the Ruthless Dao.
He knew that Mu Chen Lu loved a dead man, and Fan Lingyun happened to know everything about that ghost. Imitating him would be child's play.
Fan Lingyun succeeded. Mu Chen Lu fell in love with him, and then Fan Lingyun abandoned him. Seeing the other man weep in sorrow filled him with a satisfaction he had never felt before.
But before he could savor the sweetness of victory, Mu Chen Lu vanished without a trace.
True to his name, Mu Chen Lu left behind only a few tears for Fan Lingyun's century of bitter devotion, like morning dew that disappears in the sun.
No one told Fan Lingyun that the person he thought was his enemy did not cultivate the Ruthless Dao, and that Mu Chen Lu was in fact his final tribulation of love.
Having passed this tribulation, he ascended that very day, took his place among the immortals, and would never again concern himself with worldly affairs.
