After My Failed Pursuit, I Forgot Him

To win over the villain, I gave him whatever he wanted.

Even when he fell into hardship and turned evil, I stayed by his side.

Because he couldn't walk, I carried him across ten thousand li of ordinary roads. Even when my feet were covered in blood, I never gave up.

I thought he must like me at least a little, after all we'd been through so much together... But reality slapped me right in the face.

I fell into the Ghost Cavern at the same time as the heroine. I thought he would grab me.

But that was only what I thought. Even though I was right beside him, he still flew over and grabbed the heroine's hand.

I never cried when my feet were worn raw, but now I was crying so hard my face was a mess... and I died looking so pathetic.

Because my mission had failed, I lost my original memories. When I saw him again... he was a boy in ragged clothes, his eyes bloodshot. He looked frightening. I stammered, "Who are you?"

As if struck by a devastating blow, he broke down in an instant, his voice trembling. "How dare you forget me?!"
