[Slay the Gods] The Masked Squad's Guide to Raising Kids

I respect the original, and apologize for any out-of-character moments. The story focuses on everyday life, and should be easy to get into even if you haven't read the original.

I got into it through the anime, but I've finished the original. I'm not particularly fond of the original's romantic storyline, but I want to respect it. Aside from the wedding chapter in this story, the characters may come across more like friends. You can also think of them as an old married couple whose life together is as calm as still water.

After the Fifth Universe was rebuilt, the members of the Masked Squad all returned. Wang Mian, however, was still in his thirties, but had the body of a man in his nineties. When they reunited for the first time, the other members of the Masked Squad saw the aged Wang Mian struggling to hold his disintegrating body together as he waited for them to return, and they all burst into tears.

"Captain, what are we going to do about your body?" Seeing his teammates' reddened eyes, Wang Mian shook his head without a word.

But there is always a way forward. The Night's Watch headquarters remembered everything Wang Mian had done for Daxia and found a way around the problem.

With the help of Lin Qiye, the will of the universe, they would use the Heavenly Court's origin to nurture a new body for Wang Mian. Once it became a divine body, he could use the power of law again.

Before he could use the power of law again, however, Wang Mian's power of law would be fused into the Heavenly Court's origin.

But when they reclaimed the power of law, they accidentally reclaimed his memories as well. As a result, Wang Mian, in that new body, became a clueless toddler of four or five, with no forbidden ruins and no memories of the Night's Watch. (This is just an explanation. Don't worry if it doesn't make sense.)

Seeing Wang Mian transformed into a child, the Masked Squad began a chaotic but heartwarming life of raising him.

Because of his body's condition, there will also be a teenage Wang Mian.

I'll do my best to make up for the regrets in the original while staying as faithful to it as possible.

There will also be extras to make up for some other characters' regrets.

And there will inevitably be some angst.
