Rest Easy, Qidian: The Arrogant Dragon Has Fallen for His Junior Brother

Pei Yan is the overpowered protagonist of a classic comeback novel. According to the plot, he should return after falling to darkness, crush his wicked junior brother underfoot, and claim a harem of three thousand beauties.

But Pei Yan doesn't have a harem of three thousand beauties. Instead, he falls in love with his wicked junior brother?

Starting-Point: Pei Yan, the organization is very disappointed in you!

Pei Yan: I've submitted my resignation. I've jumped ship to Jinjiang.

Pei Yan is the senior disciple of Yunshang Sect. In his early teens, he made a name for himself throughout the world with his Po Yun Sword.

After a sudden change of fortune, Pei Yan is revealed to have demon blood, and becomes a target of public hatred. His former fellow disciples all turn their backs on him and draw their swords against him. Even his junior brother, who grew up alongside him, looks at him with utter disappointment.

Pei Yan becomes a target for everyone and can only hide and run, until just before he's pushed off a cliff. That's when he learns that all his suffering came from his junior brother, Song Yuzhi.

Song Yuzhi stands at the cliff's edge, his beautiful, striking face full of scorn. "Senior brother, you still don't know, do you? I was the one who planted the poison worm in you."

Pei Yan can't believe it at first, but Song Yuzhi's expression is unmistakably genuine. He stares at Song Yuzhi for a long time, his throat tight. All he can manage to say is, "Why?"

Song Yuzhi looks down at him as if he's heard the funniest joke in the world.

"Why else? Because I hate you! We joined the sect on the same day. Why are you so gifted and famous throughout the world, while my cultivation is stuck and I'm only fit to be an ant at your side?"

The cold wind brushes past Pei Yan's cheek. Song Yuzhi's words have long since grown distant, yet they have already taken root in Pei Yan's heart.

After crawling back from hell, the first step in Pei Yan's revenge is to kill Song Yuzhi. But for the next ten years, Song Yuzhi keeps appearing in his dreams, tormenting him and leaving him unable to rest.

Human feelings are complicated, after all. When someone dies, the first thing we begin to forget is the harm they did.

What stays in your memories is always the best version of them.

"Song Yuzhi, even I don't know if I really wanted you dead so badly back then."

"Did I truly hate you?"

Later, Pei Yan is reborn ten years in the past.

The wind rises over Yunshang; love and hate fade away, and the mortal world is left behind.

An unconventional, overpowered-protagonist gong x a wicked cannon-fodder uke (more spoiled than wicked)

Reader's Guide

1. When the gong is reborn, he knows that he likes the uke. But he can't accept what the uke did to him, so he chooses to avoid him, though he doesn't succeed.

2. The cover is a template.

3. Both are sexually inexperienced, and have only ever been with each other.

Note: The protagonist isn't exactly perfect. The gong has liked the uke since his previous life, and his feelings grew over time. In his eyes, the uke has already died once, so everything from his previous life is in the past.

Core message: Face hardships together, and grow into better versions of yourselves.
