A Love Song for Two

[Synopsis] The interstellar situation was turbulent until the Empire unified the universe and brought peace. The Empire's assassination agency, the Blade of Sorrow, was a hidden hero working behind the scenes.

Tan Yan was a low-key woman and a retired assassin who had put her past behind her. After retiring, she lived a quiet life on a remote planet with backward technology.

One day, she received a letter commissioning her to kill a girl named Su He.

"I stopped taking jobs ages ago," Tan Yan wrote in large strokes on the original letter. She put it back in the mailbox.

The next day, a new letter appeared. The handwriting was exactly the same as the day before, but the message was new: [If you don't kill her, she'll kill you.]

Curious, Tan Yan went to investigate and was surprised to discover that Su He had exactly the same face she herself had as a girl.
